The Last Few Weeks

The Hintons invited us for some good ol fashion fun at the Evergreen State Fair

Lily loved her pony, Stormy, and probably would have had no problem riding him all the way home. I like how it looks like she is going super fast

This is Dane - most likely THE biggest dog I have ever seen.

Lily would not believe that it was a dog and continued to call it a horsey the whole day.

The King of Beaches

Schoolhouse Beach is THE beach. There is no persuading me otherwise. Talk to any true Island girl and she will tell you the same thing. This is the best place on Earth.

the first few days were a learning curve of when it was ok to throw the rocks, which way to throw them and to try not to hit anyone in the head with them.

We spent pretty much everyday there for3 1/2 weeks...Paradise!

An attempt to take a much needed nap was unsuccessful. Someone didn't want to miss out on anything.

Island Vacation 2009

Lily and I decided that we were going to take an extended vacation this summer. We headed for the Island for just about a month and we enjoyed every second. Daddy came after about 10 days and spent 2 weeks with us and then drove us home. Beach pictures will be a separate post,but here are some day to day activities Lily did...

got as dirty as can be at Grandpa's garden and at PB&Js
had bedtime stories in Grandma's bed with the cousins.

ran laps around the bar. In one door and out the other.

Started a love affair with ketchup

fed about 1000 pounds of dog treats to Jack the dog

attended a Hanson family picnic at Schoolhouse beach with Grandma and cousin Cressida

Threw rocks in the water

Took a bath in the bar's kitchen sink

Ate corn at the ballpark

more corn at the ballpark

ate some pig roast at the ball park

watch our cousins dance at a Scandinavian Fest (Lily did not actually attend because the little munchkin would not have sat still)

fed some bunnies at the farm museum

and some goats

ate some corn at the Island fair

bobbed for corn at the Island Fair (we also got to ride in the parade with Grandpa, but we didn't get any pics :( )

met up with some "other" family in North Dakota

and ate some treats on the 2000 mile road trip home!

4th of July

These are the only pictures I got of her on the 4th. I wish I would have gotten some of her clinging to me for dear life when the war zone erupted in our neighborhood.

Her and Shane were picking the dandelions in our back yard. Every time Shane gave her one she would reply, "oh, thank you". it was too cute!
